Studio
A sense-making studio.
Building a working connection between what is true on the inside and the person who shows up on the outside.
Everyone runs an inner life that keeps its own hours. Things you repeat. Fantasies you return to and never examine. Discomfort you circle without touching. Desires that do not have names yet, and feelings that contradict each other and never resolve.
Most approaches treat that material as a problem to manage or a symptom to correct. This one treats it as information, the most honest information available about how a person is actually arranged.
What it builds is a bridge. From what you think and feel on the inside to the person who shows up on the outside: values you can name instead of approximate, strength you can locate instead of perform, a version of yourself that does not have to be held together.
None of it requires you to be in crisis, or to have a diagnosis, or to be interested in becoming a different person. It requires an appetite for looking directly at what is already there.
Developing methodology
Imaginal Pattern Studies.
An original method for surfacing and reading unconscious material: daydreams, fantasies, spontaneous inner imagery, and writing produced under designed constraint. In essence, the material that arrives before the conscious mind has had time to negotiate with it.
The method has two halves. A set of designed exercises places you inside a scenario with conditions and a strict time limit, so that something less rehearsed has to answer. A set of observational lenses then teaches you to read what you wrote, not for content, not for meaning, but for the moves your mind made when it had to act.
The exercises produce the material. The lenses make it readable.

How do we work together?
Not by talking about yourself. Instead the work happens through expression and imagination, which here means something narrower and specific.
You will be asked to make things. Writing produced quickly, under conditions built to outrun the internal editor. Scenarios entered rather than discussed. Daydreams and fantasies written down before they have been tidied. Objects, rooms, and the media you return to, treated as evidence rather than as taste. None of it is assessed as work or shared; the quality is not the point and does not become the point later. The point is that imagination answers before the managing mind has arrived, and what it says first is the most honest account available of how you are actually arranged.
Then it gets read. That is the second half: a set of observational lenses for looking at your own material. Not for content, not for meaning, but for the moves your mind made when it had to act fast. You learn the lenses.
Some of it is strange, weird or funny (both the exercies and often the output), that is the point. To see yourself, maybe for the first time, outside of who you think you might be.
Most of this runs in small groups. Individual sessions happen, but limited availability.
For small groups and individuals
Stepping forward.
Individual paths of success often live on the surface. When an arrangement that held for ten or twenty years stops holding, is disrupted and nothing has arrived to replace it. The useful conversations can happen when nothing is certain.
- A mid-career pivot — or the decision to stop pretending the current one still fits
- Leaving full-time employment to build something of your own
- The move out of full-time work entirely: retirement as a second working life rather than an ending
- Midlife in the general sense — the stretch where the old arrangements loosen and nobody hands you new ones
- Life after divorce, and the question of who you are without the shape of it
- Menopause, taken as a question of identity rather than only physiology
- Intimacy and desire, and what changes about both in the second half
- Designing a partnership on purpose — relational agreements, written down and revisited
- Learning to be a different kind of parent to adult children
Most of this list is material people carry privately, because there is no obvious place to put it and no socially available way to raise it.
What happens here is not advice, and it is not a plan handed over at the end. It is a structured way of getting to what is actually true for you now — what you value, what you are willing to give up, what you want the next stretch to be for — and then putting language and shape around it so it can be acted on rather than circled.
Ongoing offerings
Lines of study that stay open via individual or small group sessions.
Reflective & symbolic living
Objects, media, environments, and ordinary choices read as mirrors of the inner world. What you keep. What you replay. What you walk past every day without registering.
Fantasy, escapism & avoidance
What daydreams reveal about what is being avoided in the actual life, and the practice of pausing long enough to see which one you are in.
The creative in-between
Incubation, liminal space, and the strange emptiness between ideas. The space-between treated as a working condition rather than as a failure of productivity.
Active imagination & depth traditions
Jung, esoteric symbolism, archetypal structure, and older frameworks taken up as lived inquiry rather than as reading.
On what this is not.
This is not a form of therapy, not journaling, not a creative writing workshop. It does not diagnose, does not treat, and does not replace care from someone qualified to provide it; anyone in active treatment for a serious condition should speak with their provider first. It is also unhurried by design, and occasionally uncomfortable, which is the part that does the work. The full boundaries are discussed in each session, course, or small group with participation guidelines and agreements.
